Goodwood Oval to receive $2.5 million new club house

Goodwood Cricket Club are excited to announce that with the support of the local Government there is funding for a new grandstand to be built at Goodwood Ocal in Millswood. Housing both the Goodwood Cricket Club & the Goodwood Saints Football Club the grandstand & facilities are long overdue for an upgrade. This is a terrific win for the community of Millswood & both clubs. Having new facilities which cater for both Womens & Mens teams is a great boost for the growth of junior sport in the area.
Please join us at Goodwood Oval Friday 24th November from 5:30pm to celebrate this exciting news. We will have the BBQ going & the canteen and bar will be open.

‘The State Government has today announced funding of up to $2.5 million to revamp ageing sporting facilities at Goodwood Oval at Millswood. The grant will allow for new infrastructure, including the grandstand, clubrooms, female change facilities, public toilets and other improvements. The upgrades will help the Goodwood Saints Football Club and Goodwood Cricket Club continue to grow, boosting female and junior participation rates. The Office for Recreation and Sport will now work with local government, Millswood residents and the sporting clubs to develop a plan to transform the current building footprint into a modern and fit for purpose community facility. The sports clubs will also contribute their own funds to the project.’
